IITM is at the heart of Dhaka. It is very strategically located in the posh neighborhood of Dhanmondi, Dhaka, Bangladesh. We are next to Rasel Square overlooking Mirpur Road and next to Shukrabad Bus Stand.

Using the local bus service one can come to IITM from almost anywhere in Dhaka. If someone is coming to IITM by car, then we have parking facility next to the building or for even more secure parking one can park in the garage of Metro Shopping mall - a hop away from IITM campus.

We can also boast of the wonderful Dhanmondi Lake that is only a walking distance away from IITM. After busy toil, one can enjoy the serene beauty and chirpings of birds by walking along the paved paths of the lake or sit down under the comfort of a tree while enjoying a soothing breeze. It is a heaven for the urban dwellers of Dhaka City and a place that is restive yet only a minute away from the activities of the city center. Many different vendors come with their wares to the lake; you can actually have a good meal or a snack at some of the designated areas around the lake or do some interesting shopping.

IITM is also next to a major road called the Mirpur Road that connects Mirpur to the central part of Dhanmondi, Elephant Road, New Market and Azimpur. Next to IITM, one can find decent restaurants like Santoor, Chillis, etc. to exotic gourmet food courts like the Mangos and cyber centers to log into the internet world. Many shops selling essential household items to bakery items and pharmacies are also seen dotted around both sides of the street next to IITM. A good number of banks, university buildings and offices are also around IITM.  The historic Bangabondu Museum is also around the corner - a place for eager visitors.

IITM is young but growing organization. Change is a constant IITM with new scope of work emerging on regular intervals.
